VERNISSAGE: Polish Urban Art – Exhibitions & Murals, 20 – 27:e November 2014 18.00 – 21.00
Paris – Berlin – Batumi – Lviv – Kiev – Minsk – Warsaw – Lublin – Stockholm!
Under de senaste åren har polsk urban konst blivit en snabbt växande fenomen. Gatukonstnärerna
näms inte bara bland världens bästa, men framför allt för sin egen och unika stil.
Syftet med Polish Urban Art-projektet är att presentera och främja polsk urban konst i Europa. I Batumi och Lviv kommer utställningen hållas på platser där verken skapats och i Minsk, Ryssland, kommer det att presenteras en samling som dokumenterar polsk urban konst från 1950-talet till nu.
I Stockholm kommer det bli en mix av både foto och duk av t ex M-City, Etam Cru, Nawer, Robert Proch men även Nug, Kaos, Fits, Hell, Dekis som varit över till Lublin för en egen utställning, They Call Us Vandals!
Projektet att avslutas och summeras i Brain Damage Galleri i Lublin, Polen!
Vernissage Fredag 21/11. 18.00 -21.00. Utställningen pågår till den 27/11.

In the recent years Polish urban art has become a rapidly growing phenomenon. Polish urban
artists are now not only mentioned among the world’s best, but above all, within the broad
spectrum of urban art they managed to develop their own, unique, clearly recognizable style.
A style, which on the one hand, corresponds to the most notable achievements of Polish contemporary
art; on the other hand, it is often a style which emanates from the most radical form
of art created on the streets – graffiti writing. !!
The aim of the Polish Urban Art project is to present and promote Polish urban art in Europe.
In Batumi and Lviv we plan to exhibit murals created on the spot by Polish artists. In Kiev
and Minsk we will be presenting a collection documenting Polish urban art from the 1950s to
the present. After completing our project in Eastern Europe, its results will be presented and
discussed on exhibits organized in three major capitals of street art and graffiti – Berlin,
Paris, and Stockholm. Finally, the project will be closed and summed up in Brain Damage
Gallery in Lublin.
