Ohreint by Dirte [IDA] Jan 26 – Feb 17, 2018

Highlights är stolta att presentera “OHREINT” av Dirte [IDA], 26:e Januari – 17:e Februari, 2018 (For English please scroll down).

Stockholmsbaserade Dirte hittade graffitin under åtskilliga turer längst linjen, samt utforskande av fames och dolda platser, under det tidiga 90-talet.
“Graffitins utövare och deras engagemang, äventyrlighet och planerade tillvägagångssätt var de främsta faktorerna som fångade mitt intresse. Med åren har förståelsen för graffitin och dess bredare sammanhang givit mig en hel del insikter och perspektiv på livet.” berättar Dirte, som själv började måla på riktigt under 90-talet.

“Som person är han lugn och som graffitimålare metodiskt och noggrann. Stilmässigt är Dirte en av få som enligt mig fångar upp hårdheten från många oldschool-pieces utan att bajta själva bokstäverna. En typisk Dirte piece är hård, vass och symmetrisk med ett temperament.” fyller crewkamraten Bruce [IDA TPX] i.

Varmt välkomna på vernissage för utställningen OHREINT, Fredagen den 26:e Januari, där vi får se Dirtes senaste verk i temat språk, skapade med blandteknink. Utställningen hänger uppe t.o.m. Lördag 17:e Februari, 2018.

Highlights are proud to present “OHREINT” by Dirte [IDA], January 26 – February 17, 2018.

Stockholm-based Dirte found graffiti during several tours along the line, as well as exploring fames and hidden places, in the early 90′s.
“Graffiti’s practitioners and their commitment, adventurousness and planned approaches were the main factors that caught my interest. Over the years, understanding graffiti and its broader context has given me a lot of insights and perspectives on life in general.” says Dirte, who himself began painting in the 90′s.

“As a person, he’s calm and as a graffiti writer methodical and precise. Stylewise, Dirte is one of the few who, according to me, can manage to capture the hardness of many oldschool pieces without biting the actual letters. A typical Dirte piece is hard, sharp and symmetrical with a temper. ” adds crew mate Bruce [IDA TPX].

Welcome to the exhibition OHREINT, Friday 26th of January, where we will see Dirtes latest works with the theme language, created with mixed techniques. The exhibition will be up until Saturday February 17, 2018.
